A seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience, Charles has deep expertise across asset finance, private equity, M&A, and capital markets. He has successfully syndicated more than 100 cross-border deals totaling billions in transaction value throughout Korea, Japan, and China.
For over eight years, Charles served as Head of US at China Renaissance Group, where he led landmark fundraises for companies including ByteDance (TikTok), Meituan, Didi, Tencent Music, Alibaba, and JD.com. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Mirae Asset Securities, Lehman Brothers Korea, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, and Jardine Fleming. Born in Busan and raised in Boston, Charles holds a BA from Brandeis University.
